The family road trip

Fully loaded. Still quick.

Kids, bags, bikes and a roof box: your SUV feels every pound. Plug the G44 in under the wheel and get the response back — on the on-ramp, the climb and the pass.

The family road trip

340 miles. One full SUV.

Friday to Sunday, home to the mountains and back. Scroll and watch the route — and how the engine handles the load.

FRI · 6:40 PMLoading up

Friday night. The SUV is full.

Four people, a week of bags, bikes on the back and a box on the roof. You turn the key and feel it: the pedal goes down, the engine thinks about it, and merging onto the interstate turns into a small prayer.

Every stop is a lesson

The G44 needs at least 8 starts — key fully off each time — and about 60 miles to learn your engine. A road trip is the perfect classroom: heavy load, highway, climbs, A/C on, and a stop every couple of hours.

Long trip coming? Plug it in a couple of days before, so it has already learned your SUV by Friday.

SAT · 11:20 AMThe mountain pass

The pass. The slow truck.

Two lanes, a long grade and a box truck doing 40. Stock, a loaded SUV downshifts, revs and hesitates — so you wait for a longer gap. With the G44, the engine answers sooner and pulls harder from the same pedal, and the shifts come smoother.

SUN · 7:45 PMThe drive home

The drive home. Quieter.

Sunday night. The kids are out cold before the first exit. At cruising speed you hold the same 70 mph with less pedal and fewer revolutions — the cabin gets calmer, and every gallon goes a little further.

One less gas stop?

Maybe. Maybe not. It depends on your SUV, the load, the route and your right foot — results vary. What drivers notice first is how the engine feels: smoother, quieter, less pedal.

SUV drivers who feel it

★★★★★
“The engine got quieter, the delay when shifting disappeared, and it performs better without using more fuel — if anything, it's more economical.”
Marco B.Jeep Renegade diesel · Brazil
★★★★★
“Quicker off the line and livelier when passing. On mileage I can't give a fair number yet — I drive mostly in the city, which makes it hard to measure. Still a 10 out of 10.”

★★★★★
“In the city I was averaging around 18.8 MPG. After plugging in the chip, around 23.5 MPG — and the little lag on the pedal is gone. I can move it to my wife's car, too.”

★★★★★
“Unbelievable savings on my diesel S10. I also installed one on a VW truck: savings right away, and more power. I'm putting it in the whole company fleet — in just 3 months the savings pay for the chip.”
Clélia P. F.Chevrolet S10 diesel + VW 9160 truck · Brazil
★★★★★
“A great device. I noticed about 10 to 12% lower consumption than I was used to, depending on the fuel I fill up with.”

“I installed the chip and the result was great. More power, smoother shifts, more range and savings — and I'm driving with less than a quarter of the throttle.”

SUV questions, answered

Does it work on AWD and 4x4 SUVs?

Yes. The G44 works with the engine, not the drivetrain, so 2WD, AWD and 4x4 are all the same to it. What matters is a gas, diesel or hybrid engine with CAN communication through the OBD-II port — in the U.S., model year 2008 and newer.

My SUV is a hybrid. Will it work?

Yes. It works with the gasoline engine in a hybrid SUV or crossover, as long as it's 2008 or newer with a standard OBD-II port. It does not work on 100% electric vehicles.

What about a full load or a small trailer?

That's when the response matters most: merging, climbing and passing with a heavy SUV. The G44 adapts on its own to high and low load — there's nothing to switch. Always stay within your SUV's rated payload and towing capacity.

Can I move it to my partner's car?

Yes. Unplug it from the SUV and plug it into the other car — no reprogramming, it stores nothing. Give it the same 8 starts to learn the new engine. If both cars are driven every day, the 2-chip pack makes more sense.

Do you ship to my state?

Right now we ship to Florida and Tennessee. More states are coming soon.

Will it work on my vehicle?

The G44 works on gas, diesel and hybrid engines, turbocharged or not, in vehicles that use CAN communication through the OBD-II port — in the U.S., that's 2008 and newer. It does not work on 100% electric vehicles. Some heavy trucks and farm equipment use a different 9-pin connector and need an inexpensive adapter.

Do I need an app or a mechanic?

No. There's no app, no Bluetooth and nothing to configure. You plug it into the port under the steering wheel in about a minute.

When will I notice it?

The G44 needs at least 8 starts and stops (key fully off) and around 60 miles — usually a couple of days — to learn how you drive. Many drivers notice a smoother, more responsive engine in the first 10 miles.

How much will I save?

It depends on your vehicle, its condition, the load and how you drive. In a documented controlled test, a loaded heavy truck used 11% less diesel on the same route. Drivers report anywhere from no measurable change in city driving to over 10% on the highway.

Can I move it to another vehicle?

Yes. It doesn't store anything and doesn't need reprogramming: unplug it from your car and plug it into your truck.

Will it turn on a warning light?

No. The G44 doesn't generate dashboard warning codes. If you ever unplug it, your vehicle works exactly as it did before.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Send it back and we refund your money. That's our money-back guarantee.
