Where is the OBD-II port?

Under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the steering column — usually within reach of your left knee. Your vehicle manual shows the exact spot.

Does it work if my engine was already tuned?

Yes. The G44 works with whatever it finds, including engines that were already reprogrammed.

My truck has a round 9-pin connector. Now what?

Some heavy trucks and farm equipment use a 9-pin diagnostic connector. An inexpensive 9-pin to OBD-II adapter lets you plug in the G44. Ask us on WhatsApp and we'll point you to the right one.

How is it shipped and how do I pay?

Will it work on my vehicle?

The G44 works on gas, diesel and hybrid engines, turbocharged or not, in vehicles that use CAN communication through the OBD-II port — in the U.S., that's 2008 and newer. It does not work on 100% electric vehicles. Some heavy trucks and farm equipment use a different 9-pin connector and need an inexpensive adapter.

Do I need an app or a mechanic?

No. There's no app, no Bluetooth and nothing to configure. You plug it into the port under the steering wheel in about a minute.

When will I notice it?

The G44 needs at least 8 starts and stops (key fully off) and around 60 miles — usually a couple of days — to learn how you drive. Many drivers notice a smoother, more responsive engine in the first 10 miles.

How much will I save?

It depends on your vehicle, its condition, the load and how you drive. In a documented controlled test, a loaded heavy truck used 11% less diesel on the same route. Drivers report anywhere from no measurable change in city driving to over 10% on the highway.

Can I move it to another vehicle?

Yes. It doesn't store anything and doesn't need reprogramming: unplug it from your car and plug it into your truck.

Will it turn on a warning light?

No. The G44 doesn't generate dashboard warning codes. If you ever unplug it, your vehicle works exactly as it did before.
